On Monday, October 14th, the school celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving, a holiday which centers on history, food, and gratitude! Typical Thanksgiving treats such as caramelized vegetables and apple and pumpkin pies were enjoyed by all. Students spent the day learning about different Thanksgiving traditions and completed fun activities in the Sports Hall. The most exciting part of our day was perhaps our “Turkey Egg Drop,” where groups of students created a nest to protect their turkey egg from a 2-story fall! All the classes cheered as they watched the inventions drop and checked to see which turkeys had the best nests. We are thankful to have had such a fun and educational Canadian Thanksgiving!
